#YASR30 finalists will receive: 1) Access to next.legal's Sandbox designed for early stage, post revenue companies or those with intentions to do bridge financing; 2) 5 hours of free of legal consultation to discuss company (re)organization models, financing and general compliance concerns; and, 3) virtual networking with Sandbox participants and partners

Next.Legal's regulatory sandbox provides high growth startups in Africa with the requisite legal support on matters related to financing, exit strategy, or regulatory compliance. The Sandbox is created by Bytelex Advocates in partnership with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and B&C International.

Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale

The Prize

The student teams that participate in the Africa Startup Ecosystem Lab (ASEL) will receive a Certificate of Achievement for their successful completion of the Lab. Additionally, Tsai CITY is sponsoring 3 cash prizes for the pitch competition in April. First Place ($1500), Second Place ($1000), and Third Place ($500).

Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale (Tsai CITY) is on a mission to inspire students from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to seek innovative ways to solve real-world problems. Launched in 2017, Tsai CITY serves students from across Yale’s campus through programs, funding, and mentoring. CITY is sponsoring YASR through the Student Catalyst Fund.
